Ultra Running Cooling Short

Inspired by the Western States Endurance Run, and the ice bandanas and ice pools that athletes were utilizing throughout the course. These shorts have a built in ice pocket integrated into the liner, cooling the femoral artery as the ice melts while still allowing for waistband storage. Colorway inspired by “Here For the Women’s Race”.

Waistband storage holds soft flask, nutrition, phone, keys, etc

Shorts do not retain water, but ice melt hits femoral artery and groin (as shown on mannequin), which is a major blood vessel. Keeping this area cool keeps athletes core body temp down.
